• Company Transport
  
  • Purchasing fuel efficient vehicles.
  • Encouraging car share schemes.
  • Packaging materials & Waste
• As goods are delivered into us and “broken down” from outer boxes and cases – where suitable all of these packaging materials are reused in our own packing department. This minimizes waste and expenses.
• All internal paper based documentatio is shredded and used as packaging material.
• Efficient use of water and energy
• New and replacement computers are purchased with energy efficiency and low wattage as key factor in the requisition process.
• Effective use of technology
• Medisave has invested in Polycom video conference equipment, many of our key meetings with partners are now held over board room to board room video conferences. In many cases this has totally negated the need to travel.
• Where possible email is used for contractual and invoicing purposes. Our successful environmental policy also has another effect – It saves Medisave money and expense.
