Overall Rating I bought this as a 1st year nursing student, having worked for 10 years before working in group home settings. In the group homes we did vital signs on a regular basis and was never priviledged to use a Littman in this setting. I have a few nurse friends that highly recommeded the Littman Classic and I am so glad they did! I can hear wonderfully when I use it and now I recommend the same stethoscope to all of my friends! The color isn't really purple but more of a blue but I still love it, and the price here was the least expensive I had found anywhere. Great investment for a wonderful price, can't beat that!

Overall Rating I just received my stethoscope a couple of days ago and am very impressed so far. Like some previous posters mentioned, the purple is more of a blue-ish purple but I actually like it more than a traditional purple. So excited to use this in nursing school clinicals!!

Overall Rating I just bought this stethoscope for clinicals starting this fall. So far it is great & all my nurse-friends love it, too! The "purple" is more of a royal blue, though.

Overall Rating I purchased this before beginning nursing school, and it has been wonderful. I haven't had any problems with it, and it's much more sensitive than many of may classmates'. Love the engraving (no germs clinging to name clips!). The only very minor complaint I have is that the purple isn't as purple as I hoped. It's so dark, it's almost blue.
