BELL MODE
Apply light pressure with the floating diaphragm for low frequencies.

Apply firm pressure with the floating diaphragm for high frequencies.
TRADITIONAL BELL
For low frequencies via a fixed bell, rotate the double-sided chestpiece.

Overall Rating I'm a medical assistant bought this back in October 2010, it works great. Sound is not muffled. I definitely recommend.

I was clueless in how to pick a stethoscope to start my first year of nursing college with but this stethoscope came highly recommended and has worked great throughout college. The free engraving was key for me because everyone has similar stethoscopes and it really makes it special. The only downside I have experienced so far is that the ocean blue color picked up some brownish/blackish discoloration that wont come out, i think its from lying around the classroom and in my backpack, but other than that I love the color and the product very much.
