The Cardiology IV stethoscope encompasses a redesign from the ground up featuring a brand new stainless steel chestpiece, brand new fully optimised paediatric and adult diaphragms unique to the Cardiology IV, the very latest generation long life tubing, a highly tuned bell side for instant low frequencies, and class leading 7 year warranty. As with the Cardiology III, full acoustic range adult and pediatric auscultation is available through its newly designed dual head chestpiece. Simply rotate the central spline to alternate between the two sides for superior adult and pediatric auscultation. The brand new single piece diaphragms (unique to the Cardiology IV), have further optimised acoustic sensitivity, making all sounds clearer and easier to hear! The new long life binaural (two tubes in one) are the very latest specification, and latest materials, helping raise the warranty length to an industry leading 7 years! The selector spline is now recessed to allow a perfect flush fit with the binaural tube, now featuring a visual indicator for easy identification of the operational diaphragm.

I bought this stethoscope as a nursing student because I wanted something that would last me through clinicals and into my career. Before purchasing it, I asked every one of my grandfather’s nurses which Littmann they thought was the best, and this was the model they consistently recommended. They were absolutely right. The sound quality is incredible. Heart, lung, and bowel sounds are clear and crisp, and it has made practicing my assessment skills so much easier. It feels durable, comfortable to wear, and truly like a professional piece of equipment that will stay with me for years. I originally bought it for nursing school, but it ended up becoming so much more. During my grandfather’s hospice journey, I was one of his primary caregivers. With guidance from his hospice team, I used this stethoscope to monitor him, recognize important changes in his condition, and identify findings that needed to be brought to his nurses’ attention. Those moments reinforced everything I was learning in nursing school and showed me how meaningful careful assessment can be. After losing him, every time I put this stethoscope around my neck, I’m reminded not only of him but also of the compassionate nurses who cared for him and inspired me to become the kind of nurse I hope to be. This stethoscope has become much more than a piece of equipment. It’s a daily reminder of why I chose nursing in the first place. Really pretty and is nice being able to actually hear a lot better than my other stethoscope the MDF one I got this one to myself as a gift for passing my CCMA exam and as an almost premed college student in neuroscience in the fall, I got my name engraved so nobody can take my expensive littmann as I’ve heard many stories of that happening.
